This is a fantastic opportunity to learn with Tel Turnbull, one of the foremost potters in the East of England, in the beautiful setting of the Grange barns. You will have a chance to throw on traditional momentum wheels in the morning and learn techniques of hand-building in the afternoon.
The course will also include an introduction to 'coiling' as practised by the Bell Beaker people (2900 - 1800BC) who inhabited Europe from the late Neolithic into the early Bronze Age.
Tel has been practising and teaching pottery for more than 40 years. He is passionate about the philosophy and beauty of medieval pottery shapes and techniques.
There are only 3 places to ensure you get the best possible experience, so book quickly!
The fee covers tuition and materials, as well as cakes and tea/coffee but please bring your own packed lunch.
We can fire and post the pots to you after the course for a small additional cost.
