Learn how to craft wood traditionally, from the freshly cut log to the final product. Make yourself a spoon, a spatula, a candlestick, a rolling pin, a mallet and much more.

You will be taught to use handmade pole lathes and shave horses, along with green woodworking hand tools such as the froe, the drawknife and spokeshave.

Olly has years of experience teaching woodworking in many different venues, from forest schools to festivals. His relationship with wood has developed from the age of 6, when he and his brother Kierin were bought a lathe... Love for working with the material, the trees themselves and woodland habitats has stayed with both of them, shaping their livelihoods today. We're very happy to have him come to the Grange to spend a day and share his skills!
