We try to keep the costs of running The Grange as low as possible. However, maintaining a large old rectory, 10 acres of land and doing the amount of hosting we do inevitably costs money. We are able to generate some money through our work with partners and by hosting other groups but this doesn't come anywhere near to covering our costs.
We also strongly believe in the permaculture ethic of fair shares and want to ensure that anyone working at The Grange is fairly compensated for their work. If you feel able to donate to our work we are hugely thankful and can assure you that we will use it as carefully and wisely as possible. Click on the links below to set up a direct debit or to transfer a one-off donation.
Of course, donations come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - not just money. If you have other things to donate that you think might be useful please get in touch. But please don't be offended if we say no - sometimes it is important that we do! Things we often find useful are clothes and shoes for our free shop (particularly men's clothes), good cooking pots and pans, quality bed sheets and duvets and tools for the garden and for DIY.
