The Grange currently has six directors: 

Sophie Antonelli: Sophie is the founder of The Green Backyard in Peterborough . She is currently the South of England adviser for the Growing Together project of the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens.

Rachel Bodle: A retired organization development professional, permaculturist and former neighbour now living in Somerset. Rachel is also a member of The Elders and has supported The Grange in many ways right from the beginning.

Elly Brown: Elly has a background in teaching and education. She is currently the Director of Community Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Tooting, London. She is also a member of The Elders and is currently chair of The Grange's safeguarding committee.

Ian Fitzpatrick: Ian has a PhD in anthropology from the University of Oxford and currently works as a researcher for the Sustainable Food Trust. Ian is also a qualified acupuncturist and a highly accomplished baker, linguist and rock climber.

Ben Margolis: Ben is co-founder of The Grange and currently the Executive Director. Ben has a background working with NGOs as a campaigner on climate change and other issues and is a qualified permaculture teacher and diploma tutor. Ben is the chair of The Grange's fundraising committee.

Sophie North: Sophie is co-founder of The Grange. Sophie is a qualified medical doctor and now teaches at the School of Health Sciences at the University of East Anglia. She has a foundation diploma in psychodynamic approaches to working with refugees and asylum seekers.



"For me the main thing is safety. In London I don’t feel safe. The first time I came I was worried but after a few and days and the second visit the place gives so much safety. It’s not just the walls, it is the heart of all the people here and the nature around us. You can feel the safety."
